The Year Ahead

The nights are longer these days

My dreams intact, time to dwell

I stare at the fire and I recharge

The world turns and so do I

Mind filled with possibilities

Body strong and ready for the fight

The last was a test and did it

The cliff edge sharp and close

Still I walked, with pride

Resolve and persistent I am

I plan and prepare

Time is the risk I can't change

All that I want I still want

Needs are met desires not

Complacent I shall not be
